Since february 2012, this famous bakery from the city of The Hague is active under the name Lekker Brood. On the website of Lekker Brood you can see the crafts of our partner, who has got a spot in our store for some time now.

The bread specialties are all baked with organic ingredients, in a way that adds more flavor and character to the breads. There they take their time. After all, a delicious Bread is on its way for 48 hours before it’s on the counter. In addition, we add engagement. Each delicious bread is processed with passion before laying it on the stone oven floor.

Also, the team of Lekker Brood remains looking for ways to do better for tomorrow. For example, biological raw materials that they buy as locally as possible. But, of course, there is also a (partial) replacement of salt in an innovative way that will be appreciated.

Nowadays they only use organic ingredients in their bakery, and the bakers can expand the range of Lekker Brood. Meanwhile, the bakers, together with a number of customers, have developed a wheat bread with pumpkin kernels, a very delicious Bread.  A surprisingly fresh muffin with Raspberry from Max raspberries has also been developed. Supermarket Mikros has been working closely with this partner since 2016 and is experiencing the delicious quality every day by satisfied customers.

The Vegetarian Butcher was chosen as Entrepreneur of the Year 2015, won the taste of the Netherlands with vegetarian smoked salmon salad and won bronze in the battle for the Golden Meatball of the Dutch Telegraph. We are proud that the Vegetarian Butcher will also cooperate with Supermarket Mikros since 2017.
